Southern Friends Animal Society

About

We are a team of dedicated volunteers who rescue animals from local shelters and work with local veterinary clinics to provide them with the full veterinary care (shots, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment) they need. Our volunteers and caregivers love and care for these animals as if they were their own, and work tirelessly to provide the best care for them. Our mission is to SAVE THEM ALL, one animal at a time. We have a wonderful group of dedicated volunteers, fosters, and happy adopters that are always there to support us. Our mission would not be possible without their help.

Adoption process

The first step is to complete our cat or dog adoption form. After we look over your adoption form, we will contact you about the dog or cat you would like to adopt and tell you more about him or her. We will arrange a meet and greet and a home visit to help you and your pet get acquainted and any special needs of your new best friend. If your meet and greet or overnight stay went well for you and your chosen love, we will get with you on how to pay the adoption fee. We will get you all of the records pertaining to your new pet and be there if you need any help with anything. Every dog and cat adopted from Southern Friends comes with our promise. If for any reason, you can no longer care for your dog or cat, he or she is always welcome back at Southern Friends Animal Sanctuary.
