Legacy German Shepherd Rescue

Very shady people. Found a young dog on petfinder that was with LGSR, sent the inquiry and application. Had a 10 minute phone "interview" with someone who was basically a middleman between the rescue, the foster and the adopter. The pups profile said she was pulled from a small town shelter in Mississippi at 5 weeks old, very sick, but that she was perfectly healthy now (at 8 months old). It also said that she was now being fostered in Connecticut. After getting home with her, I looked through her vet records and discovered that she had contracted a tick-borne illness and had been treated just a month before I adopted her. Also, the dates and locations on the paperwork didn't make sense. She quickly started showing some behavioral and possible neurological issues. Looking into the tick illness more, I found that if a dog with it reached the sub clinical level before being treated, it could lead to the dog having neurological damage. I've had her for 2.5 months now and she is still horribly skittish and fearful. I can't get her to walk on a leash or go in the car. Training her is near impossible because she freaks out every time I move. I worry that she was either abused in her foster home, or just caged non-stop...Anne since I brought her home, I haven't heard a word from the rescue, even when I texted then a photo of her cuddling my bully the first night she was here.
