Our Mission is to identify and rescue Alaskan Malamutes that have been abused, neglected, abandoned or surrendered by their owners to MMR or to a shelter, or brought to shelters as strays. We have been rescuing Malamutes for over 10 years. We provide foster care and help with basic socialization and training to improve adoptability. Donated funds are primarily used to help provide medical care including vaccinations, spaying or neutering and facilitate adoption to approved permanent homes.
We do require an adoption application, references, and a home visit, as well as a contract and post adoption visit. We ask that you fill out the adoption application before meeting our rescue dogs. Once we receive your application, we can set up a meet and greet with your family (two and four legged) and the dog. We check the references you provide, so please make sure the information you give us is accurate, or we may choose to deny your application based on the fact that we were provided with misleading information. All MMR Malamutes are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations, heartworm tested and micro chipped. Any health or behavioral issues will be noted in writing as well.
