Kindness Matters Ferret Rescue is a ferret shelter operated by Debbie Whorley in Acworth, Georgia. We are based in a private home where our ferrets are free roam. The shelter is a result of years of ferret experience! This is a no-kill shelter, meaning that no ferret will ever be killed because there are too many.

Adoption process

If you are interested in adopting, please email the rescue. Some questions will be asked of you. Some ferret information emails and an adoption application will be sent. We will speak with you on the phone and call your reference. We do a home visit to make sure everything is ferret proofed. Then we schedule a time for you and your family to come to the rescue to see about adopting. If you already have a ferret, please know that not all ferrets want to be with another ferret. It is important to let your ferret choose a ferret. Not all ferrets get along and you don't want to just add another ferret into the household. There can be serious fighting and/or a lot of stress that can result in sickness. Appointments are more than welcome to come see all the sweet furry faces looking for forever homes.
