Fetching Hope Rescue (FHR) represents an all volunteer canine rescue group whose mission is to save the lives of neglected, abused and/or stray dogs by finding them safe, loving, and permanent homes in New England. We are proud to add that we are an approved 501 (c) (3.)
We are happy that you are ready to adopt a rescue dog! Please fill out the application below. It is very important that you provide well-thought answers to the questions being asked. This is our way of getting to know you! The information that you provide will help us make a life-long match for the rescue dog that you're applying for. Incomplete applications will not be considered, please do not skip questions. Once you submit your completed application, a volunteer will respond via email within 48 hours if your application meets our requirements upon initial review. You will not get a response from us if your application did not meet our requirements for the specific dog you are applying for. Our approval process has 3 steps: 1) we will check vet and/or personal references provided, 2) a virtual home visit, and 3) a phone interview. Upon approval, an adoption contract will need to be signed and we will collect an adoption fee in the amount of $450 (this covers previous expenses of the dog- appropriate vaccinations, altering, microchipping, and transportation fees.). In an effort to "flatten the curve" of the recent pandemic climate, our Rescue has implemented a new protocol for adoptions. In-person meet & greets are on "paws" in an effort to limit exposure to others. Instead, we are happy to provide a video as a way to "meet" the dog before bringing it home, and ultimately limiting exposure for you and our foster families to just the pick up (which can be done safely outdoors).
