Tender Heart Charities Inc. is a 501(c)3 not for profit organization dedicated to saving unwanted and abused animals that find themselves in high kill shelters at risk of euthanasia. Founded by Lisa Martin-Manns and Tony Nigro, we are volunteer run, and rely on donations and grants to allow us to rescue, provide much needed medical care, rehabilitate and finally place our animals in the perfect forever homes! Our number one goal is to find families that are the perfect fit for all of the homeless pets we can help. We also strive to educate the community about responsible pet ownership by teaching the importance of spaying & neutering, a simple act that can greatly help reduce the overpopulation of animals!

Adoption process
To begin the adoption process, please fill out an application. The application is non-binding, and you can change your mind at any time. We require a veterinarian and personal reference, and recommend a meet and greet between any current pets and the one you wish to adopt. All animals will be altered and vaccinated prior to adoption. We are a nonprofit and volunteer based rescue, please be patient as it may take a day or two to process your application.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I have messaged Lisa three times and not a single response has been given. I did however talk to her on the phone once and was very rude. This place just wants to pawn dogs off to people an not give a damn about them afterwards. I guarantee she has forgotten about him and hasnt even looked for a companion for him. Would never recommend this place to anyone. Edit: 12 months have passed, an the Shar Pei we took in (because Lisa said they were full and couldn't take in anymore dogs) is still not adopted. I will from now on say No to any pets coming in my house
