Small Dog Rescue of New England is a non-profit all-volunteer organization. It was established by a small group of individuals in the New England area with the intent of helping small dogs find loving forever homes. We work with our southern rescue partners to help bring dogs up to New England where we find them their forever home. We do NOT have a shelter, we are a foster based rescue. Small Dog Rescue of New England relies on donations, fund-raising activities and adoption fees for its income. We do not receive any state or federal funds. All donations directly benefit the dogs in our adoption program. We are a 501c3 organization, so your donations are tax deductible. We are always in need of donations and committed volunteers like ourselves.
If you are interested in any of our dogs, please feel free to contact us at smalldogrescuene@gmail.com for any questions you may have or you may proceed directly to fill out an application. Be sure to fill out the entire application or it will not go through. If you are serious about adopting, please place a deposit of $50 under the pink donate button on our website. If approved, your deposit is applied to the adoption fee. The deposit is refundable if we aren’t able to get you the dog you applied for, if you change your mind about adopting the deposit is not refunded. The deposit will start the process of your application and hold the dog for you. Please allow at least 7 days for processing of applications. We reserve the right to refuse an applicant based on the information provided, as well as the results of the application process, with or without disclosure of cause. DUE TO THE SIZE OF OUR DOGS, WE DO NOT ADOPT OUT TO FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 8, NO EXCEPTIONS!! Yards are required for most dogs, with the exception of our senior dogs. Fenced in yards are preferable. You must be 25 to adopt. Each adoption is based on the best home for the dog. Our Adoption donations cover: vetting, transporting, feeding, and caring for all the dogs in our program.
