“PAWS TO LOVE ME” was established to facilitate the neuter/spay surgery of dogs and cats in NW Arkansas. Our long term goal is to offer free neuter/spay surgery to any local dog or cat. We encourage pet owners to surgically alter (neuter/spay) their dogs and cats and offer to pay for these surgeries if the pet owners cannot afford it. We talk to individuals, groups, and civic organizations. Emphasis is placed on speaking to elementary and middle school students, which increases the chances of a better informed, more pro-active upcoming generation. "PAWS TO LOVE ME" also rescues dogs and cats who are scheduled to be killed in shelters due to lack of space, health issues, heartworm status or age. Once we receive them, we treat any medical condition, neuter/spay them and post them for adoption.

Adoption process

We do our best to match each dog/cat with the person/family we feel is best suited to the dog's/cat's personality and needs. We do not adopt to the person who is first to submit an adoption application. You will be asked to submit a thorough application with references. Home visits are a required part of the application process. You must also submit a brief bio about yourself/family including your lifestyle and hobbies. This information will assist us in matching you with the most perfect dog or cat for you. We do adopt to out of state applicants. We work with other rescues who will do home visits for us. If approved, you will have to drive to us to pick up your dog/cat. We do not allow you to meet any of our dogs until your application has been approved. Since we do not have a physical shelter, we do not allow meet and greets for cats but provide multiple photos and videos prior to adoption. We do not allow "trial adoptions."If approved to adopt, you will be required to sign an agreement stating that you will return to the dog/cat to us if for any reason at any time, you no longer wish to keep the dog/cat.
