Kitty City Kansas Rescue

About

Kitty City Kansas Rescue is a no-kill 501(c)(3) non-profit group of rescuers and individuals who have an affinity for cats. We intake mostly from shelters that have euthanasia policies due to overcrowding or other non-medical conditions. We are, in some cases, the last resort for kittens and cats. Through our wonderful volunteer group, we aim to change the outcome of each and every cat that arrives under our care. Kitty City Kansas Rescue was formed in 2008. In 2014, we were fortunate to move into our own facility, which is located near old downtown Lenexa. We have had transformations over the years but our principles have not changed since day one.

Adoption process

1. Explore Our Listing of Adoptables. 2. Complete Our Online Adoption Application. The application introduces you to Kitty City and provides insight into your companion search. We will respond to your application with next steps. 3. Visit Our Adoption Center During Adoption Days and Hours. Unless otherwise noted on our website, our adoption center is open on the weekends so that you can visit with our cats. We have visitation rooms to allow you one on one time. Bring a suitable carrier just in case. We do have cardboard carriers for a moderate price at the adoption center. 4. Enjoy Your New Companion(s). Congratulations and Thank You! With each adopted cat, you have saved two lives. Relax, take it slow and let them acclimate to their new surroundings. Take advantage of the free follow-up wellness exam at our sponsoring veterinary clinic or with your preferred vet. We really appreciate receiving updates and pictures through our email and/or social media presence.
