The Delaware Valley Pug Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit charitable organization. DVPR is a small rescue with big hopes for pugs in need. We believe that all animals deserve a safe, loving furever home, so we are trying to do our part with a breed that is close to our hearts. Many of our volunteers have been actively rescuing pugs for more than 10 years.

Adoption process

You can review our available, adoptable pugs. Whether we have pugs at this time or not, you are welcome to fill out an adoption application to be added to our list of adoptees. We do NOT adopt out on a first-come first-serve basis like some other rescues - every time we have a rescue in our care, we take the time to review every applicant to ensure we find the perfect fit both for you and for our pugs. Once you've applied, please be patient! We receive a lot of applications, and it takes us time to go through everyone. We will reach out to you via email or phone call to set up an in-home visit. We require a visit of your home for not only the safety of our pugs, but to meet the members of your family and make sure everyone is excited and ready for a new addition! We also often need fosters while our rescues are being rehabilitated and prepared for adoption - ask us about our foster-to-adopt program!
