The mission of Willamette Humane Society is to promote the welfare of animals through leadership, education, and action. Founded in 1965, we are an independent non-profit organization that shelters more than 10,000 animals every year and strives to complete families by matching pets with people.

Adoption process

Step One: Check out the available pets on our website. Step Two: When you find the perfect pet, click on the “Adopt Me” button on that pet’s profile page. You’ll be prompted to sign up for Adopets, our online adoption partner, to start the adoption process. Then, watch your email in-box! We’ll send you followup messages that help you track your application. Follow those prompts to schedule appointments and more. Step Three: Arrive at the shelter at your scheduled time to meet your potential family member! Bring your phone with you, as you’ll need to sign your contract and pay your adoption fee through Adopets.
