Westie Rescue of Orange County & Beyond is the California rescue organization recognized by: State of California as a non-profit corporation; IRS as a tax deductible, tax exempt 501c3 corporation; West Highland White Terrier Club of America as a Westie Rescue partner and members
When a Westie is placed into Westie Rescue of Orange County & Beyond's rescue program, we review all our pending applications to assess the best match for the Westie. Our primary goal is to place the Westie in the best environment for that particular dog's background, personality and needs. If you would like to pursue adoption, the application is the first step to start the process. We will contact you and begin the process once we determine that a Westie would be a good match for you and your family. We take particular care in placing our Westies. Our screening process includes an application, reference checks, interview and a home visit to ensure the home and family is compatible with the pet’s needs and our requirements. To complete the adoption process, we have a "meet and greet" with the new family including all family members and pets. We request owners to sign a contract obliging them to contact us if they cannot provide for the animal for any reason.
