Weimaraner Rescue of the South (WRS) is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming of Weimaraners in need in Alabama, Mississippi, and parts of Louisiana, Tennessee, and Georgia.

Adoption process

1. Fill out and submit the online application. 2. An adoption coordinator will contact you within a few days of receipt of your application. 3. After reviewing the application and checking references, the rescue adoption coordinator will schedule a telephone interview. 4. A home visit will be scheduled to ensure that you can provide a safe home where the dog will be treated as a member of the family. 5. The adoption committee will review all aspects of the application process and make their recommendation of Weims that best suits your lifestyle, home environment and family situation.
