Mission Statement: To provide rescue, foster and veterinary care, and ultimately to place in approved 'forever' homes, purebred or almost purebred Collies and Shelties from animal shelters and owners who can no longer care for them, as well as to educate the public about proper pet care and the importance of spaying and neutering all pets.
TCCR's foster dogs live with foster families until they find permanent homes. If they do not find permanent homes, they will live the rest of their lives in foster care. Interested parties in one of our adoptable dogs must first fill out an application. Once an application has been approved, a home and yard check of the potential adopter is performed. Once the property is approved, you may contact the foster families of the dogs you are interested in and arrange a Meet and Greet with them. Once you and the foster family mutually agree on the dog you are interested in, there is a 24 hour waiting period to consider your choice and discuss it with family members living in your household. Then you would contact the foster family to make arrangements to complete the adoption process, which includes payment in full and a contract signed between TCCR and the adopter.
