About

Throw a Dog a Bone Dog Rescue was founded after our director visited a rural South Texas shelter to transport a dog. The experience of seeing the conditions propelled her to found a rescue to work primarily with these shelters. These shelters exist in rural communities all over the state. They have little to no community support and funding is very limited. We strive to find these shelters and help as much as we can.
