The Chi Society Of Ct

About

The Chi Society is a network of private foster homes in New England and Tucson, AZ. With our partner, PAWS of NELA, we have saved several thousand dogs from needless, cruel deaths during the time we've been operating. We have developed both local and long distance programs that allow a qualified adopter to have just about any dog they fall in love with; long distance is not a barrier. We use two top rated transporters to move dogs out of high kill Southern shelters, to safe, loving homes in the Northeast. Recently, we created Chi Society West, in Southern Arizona, rescuing dogs in the desert, as well as Chi Haven Sanctuary, for ailing, elderly or special needs Chihuahuas.

Adoption process

We require an application, veterinary references, personal references and proof of residence. If applicable, a landlord reference and a home visit may be required. Submitting an application does not guarantee approval of adoption. We do not place dogs in homes on a first come, first serve basis and we reserve the right to turn down an application for adoption if we deem the applicant is not a good fit for the dog. Although we make every attempt to be friendly and pleasant to work with, we are not in the business of customer service. We are first and foremost, dog rescue people!
