Spirit Wind Horse Rescue began with two woman and three horses rescued from our local sale barn from being bought for slaughter. Since it's small beginnings in 2006 we have grown into an organization that has a working board, volunteers and extremely good training program and a successful adoption rate with finding forever homes for horses who have been lucky enough to find sanctuary with us. We also offer retirement homes for horses that are considered non adoptable due to age or prior injuries. We hope that you will join us in our journey in making the world a better place for all equines.
