The Surface Creek Animal Shelter is a not for profit 501(3)c organization. We operate the Surface Creek Animal Shelter and the Shelter Shoppe both located in Cedaredge Colorado. The Shelter provides care and love to cats and dogs in the Surface Creek Valley of Delta County.

Adoption process

Once you spot a dog or cat that you are interested in meeting, you can: Speak with one of our Shelter staff or volunteers to learn about the pet’s history, personality and care requirements. Visit with the animal in our meeting room or ask to take them on a short walk. If you decide to adopt, fill out the Adoption Application Form at the Shelter, or print and complete the form (below) and bring it to the Shelter. Pay the adoption fees and take your new pet home!
