PAWS is an all-volunteer, non-profit animal welfare organization, founded in Wakefield in 1982 by Esther Nowell. We serve many communities north of Boston. Our mission is to: promote and protect the rights and well-being of all domestic animals and wildlife, and foster greater understanding of animal welfare and animal rights through education.
The adoption process is simple: After we receive your application, we share it with all the PAWS foster homes to find a potential match-or with the volunteers who are fostering particular cats that you are interested in. Then, one or more of the PAWS fosters will contact you with more information about their foster pets and to arrange a time for you to meet them, either at the foster home or at our adoption center in the PAWS office.
Connect, seek advice, share knowledge.
