Northern Chesapeake Sheltie Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping Shelties in Maryland, Delaware, Southeastern Pennsylvania and Northeastern West Virginia.. Our founding philosophy is to assist Shelties regardless of age or condition. We also strive to assist other Sheltie rescue groups whenever possible, in the understanding that if a dog is in need, we are all in this together. Our rescue was formed on November 1, 1999 by volunteers sharing a love for the breed. We have shelties of our own that were adopted from rescue and we gain inspiration from watching them blossom from being neglected and unwanted to become happy, social pets that want nothing more than to love and be loved. We wish the same for all our rescued Shelties.
