LCHS Mission: To be the leading advocate for breeds such as pit bulls, that often are left behind or ignored by other shelters. To provide high quality medical care for all animals and to offer financial assistance to those pet owners that cannot otherwise afford vet services. Adoption process

Step 1. Complete an online adoption application. Stay updated on the current adoptable animals at the shelter as you wait to be contacted by the LCHS Adoption Specialist. Step 2. Your adoption application is now in the review process which may take 7 to 10 days. You will be contacted via email once our adoption specialist has fully processed your application. Step 3. Once you receive the confirmation email letting you know your adoption application has been approved you may submit an Animal Visit Request. You will need to know the name of the animal you are interested in meeting with.
