Itty Bitty Kitty, Inc. is a no-kill, non-profit 501(c)(3) cat rescue organization. Our main shelter location on Minesite Road in Lower Macungie Township was opened on December 21st, 2015. We are very excited to have a shelter in order to save more cats and kittens from being euthanized. We are limited on the number of cats we are allowed to have at the shelter due to the zoning in the township, but every adoption from our shelter means we can take in more cats! We are dedicated to saving the lives of homeless, stray, and unwanted cats or kittens. We are a small, dedicated group of volunteers looking to put an end to the stray cat population. We provide safe and secure foster homes for abused, homeless, and sometimes unwanted cats and kittens until they find their forever home. We find that Purrfect Match every time. In addition to helping find homes for stray cats and kittens, we also help our community by educating the public about the importance of spaying and neutering. We not only educate the community but help many individuals by assisting with the spaying or neutering of feral cat colonies throughout the Lehigh Valley. Our goal is to eliminate the feral cat colonies through the region by offering low-cost spay-neuter clinics. Our philosophy is being kind to animals helps build a better world for everyone. Through the generous support and donations from individuals within the community, we can ensure that any cat or kitten that comes into our care will receive the best of care and never have to worry about being alone, hungry, sick, or in danger again. Thank you once again for your support. Our cats and kittens thank you, too!
Applicants must supply the name and number of their veterinarian. We will call the veterinarian to verify that your current or former pet is receiving the medical care he or she needs. If you do not have any pets, we require the name and number of personal references that do not live with you. Please remember that cats are living longer and can live well into their 20's. Adopting a cat is a commitment for life. At times, we will post a cat on our website as a private adoption. This will be clearly noted on our website. If you are interested in a cat that is listed as a private adoption, please complete an online application. We will process your application and pass your information onto the current owner or caretaker for the cat you are interested in. IBK will not be involved with the adoption process once the application is passed onto the current owner. The current owner and potential adopter will agree upon the terms of the adoption. IBK does not make any representations or guarantees pertaining to the private adoptions. Please allow our volunteers 48 hours to process your application. If you apply online, please check your email as we will respond to you via email. If you do not hear back from us within 24 hours please call or email us as we may not have received your application.
