The House of Little Dogs is a rescue/sanctuary located in Fayetteville, Arkansas for small dogs with medical or behavioral issues. Dogs are pulled from local animal shelters. We are dedicated to supporting those little dogs from shelters who are in need of medical or behavioral assistance. This process has a two-fold benefit: Immediate relief for the dog, and allows the shelter to divert time and resources to other animals. One of the things HLD hopes to accomplish is to get more people to take a second look at special needs shelter dogs. They are truly diamonds in the rough. We know that taking in a fixer-upper is not everyone’s cup of tea, and that many folks just don’t have the time or money required for special needs dog. But if you can find it in your heart, your schedule, and your budget to offer a second chance at life to a dog who’s old or sick or scared or maybe just a little rough around the edges, we can assure you that there are few things in life more gratifying than seeing that dog blossom into a happy, healthy, loving pet.
Our adoption process is simple. We ask you to complete a one-page application. An interview will then take place in your home. There will be no adoption fee. Donations, though, will be appreciated.
