Hooves, Paws and Claws Animal Sanctuary of Florida is a 501(c)(3) no-kill shelter for abused and abandoned animals located in Myakka City, Florida. Most of our rescued animals have been saved from high-kill shelters. In some cases, we were able to take them just before their previous owner turned them over to a kill shelter. Over the years, we've also saved, cared for, and adopted out a number of stray animals who weren't claimed by anyone. Our goal has always been to find loving forever homes for our rescues. However, due to various medical or behavioral problems, some have spent - or will be spending - their lives being loved and cared for on our Myakka City farm or at our satellite facility located in Bradenton. Although at one time we were also rescuing cats, horses, and birds, only dogs are currently residing at our facilities. We have blind and/or deaf dogs and seniors who require extra medical care and attention, which is why your donations are so important!
