EOL Multibreed Dog Rescue (Formerly Eskies Online) is a Connecticut 501c3 Nonprofit Organization devoted to the rescue and rehabilitation of homeless companion dogs. Our story began 22 years ago, in Manhattan, where we started a foster home network for the American Eskimo Dog Breed. Through our work with New York Animal Care Centers, we expanded our rescue mission to include all breeds. In 2013, we relocated our Rescue to Canterbury, Connecticut, where we could spread out on 90 acres of pristine woods. Our mission has expanded to a full rescue and rehabilitation operation, in which we address a wide spectrum of veterinary and behavioral issues that may be obstacles to a dog's adoption. We have one Veterinary Assistant and two Dog Trainers on staff, who are expert in dog care and behavior, and we are recognized as an AKC Canine Good Citizen Test site. We support our adopters with free post-adoption obedience training and behavior problem solving.
When we receive your completed application we will check your references, including your veterinarian, and then call you to discuss your situation and requirements. If you are approved for adoption, we can then discuss with you which of the dogs might fit best into your life. We will either arrange for you to visit the dog in its foster home, by appointment, or transport the dog to your home. In the meantime, please look at the stories and pictures of dogs currently available. You should also check out the profiles of some of our previously adopted dogs to see how they have done in their new homes.
