The Cedar Valley Humane Society is dedicated to building healthy relationships between people and animals, and eliminating cruelty, abuse and overpopulation of animals through education, adoption services and inspiring compassion for all living things.

Adoption process

STEP ONE: Browse all our adoptable animals online or visit the shelter. Every animal in our care deserves a loving home. Our goal is to match every animal with the right family. STEP TWO: Select the animal you are interested in visiting with and ask the staff about behavior and personality of the animal STEP THREE: Fill out an adoption application and spend time with the animal to make sure it is a good fit for your family and lifestyle. STEP FOUR: Set up a meet and greet with other pets in your family (if applicable) to ensure compatibility. STEP FIVE: Celebrate! You are now ready to take home your new family member! PLEASE NOTE: You must be 18 years or older, have a curent photo ID, and have a verifiable address to adopt. If you rent we will need to verify with your landlord they accept animals on the property.
