Established in 2005, CATsNAP seeks to reduce pet overpopulation and to improve the welfare of animals in the greater Champaign County Illinois area. Specifically, we strongly advocate that all animals are spayed and neutered, regardless of breed, sex, or age. By spaying/neutering, we are reducing the number of cats and dogs born into situations of inadequate care and abuse. We are also limiting the numbers of unwanted animals relinquished to shelters, where they are often euthanized for lack of space. CATsNAP does not endorse the buying of domestic animals from large-scale commercial breeders or from any of the outlets they supply.
Adoptions can be completed after you have completed an adoption application or at adoption site. Paper adoption applications are also available from a Pet Supplies Plus or PetsMart employee. Completed applications are then reviewed by our organization. Please allow three days for application review, which may include verification of the information provided. An adoption may be completed during scheduled adoption hours. We do not hold animals as we have learned that sometimes people change their mind and we lose valuable time in placing the animal/animals. If adoption application is accepted it is mandatory to read online contract and it assumed that contract is accepted by adopter. A copy of the contract may be printed out for adopters records. Applying for a animal means acceptance of the contracts terms.
