Cats at the Studios, Inc. (“CATS Inc.”) is a nonprofit rescue organization comprised entirely of volunteers. We are dedicated to nurturing, neutering and spaying, and finding homes for abandoned cats and kittens in Los Angeles, California.

Adoption process

Our adoption process begins with an Adoption Application that tells us about you and your family, and any other pets you have at home. After you have completed the Adoption Application, a volunteer will review it and may ask you some questions to make sure that you and the cat or kitten you have chosen are a good match. This is also a good time for you to ask us any questions you might have. Please keep in mind that not everyone who applies will get a pet. This has more to do with the pet than with the applicant. Most of our cats have experienced hardship before they came to us. We appreciate your understanding and are grateful for every application. But our primary consideration in all placement decisions is the welfare of the pet. If your Adoption Application is approved, you will sign the single page contract and may be able to take your cat or kitten home right away in most instances. Occasionally, a home delivery or visit may be made as a required part of the adoption procedure. There is a minimum adoption donation of $100-$125. Please note that in certain cases of cats that are pure-bred or rare-breeds, the adoption donation may be higher.
