We are a small, no-kill, all volunteer, cat rescue and placement group founded in 2006. CatNIP stands for Cat Nurturing, Information, & Placement. Our mission is to nurture our cats in loving foster homes, provide information to adopters and other members of the community, and place cats in loving forever homes.

I lost my Beloved 18yr old Pug and my 18yr old Cat within less than 48hrs of each other. I still have a 12yr old Cat who seemed to get depressed. I decided to adopt a cat to keep her company and to fill my life. I went to Catnip Rescue at PetSmart and found Sheldon. He's a 5 or so year old Snow Shoe mix and is now the love of my life. The process was thorough but was worth it. My references and Vet were called and I of course passed with flying colors. Sheldon is the most handsome and well behaved boy you could ask for. He had a meet & greet with my Vet who gave him a Clean Bill of Health. I of course miss Beckett & Chance everyday, but Sheldon has filled a void in my Heart & House. He loves his new sister and has made my house full again. Thanks Catnip for all of your help and giving my home New Life !!!!
