About

Cat Haven is leading Baton Rouge in becoming a no-kill community for cats and kittens by providing care, shelter, and adoption services, as well as advocating for routine spaying and neutering for population control. Cat Haven began in 1999 as an all-volunteer grass roots group in response to a community need for comprehensive rescue, foster, and adoption services for cats and kittens. Twenty-one years later, we have grown to an organization with a staff of 6 employees, 300+ volunteers, and a state-of-the-art adoption center. Through collaborating with Companion Animal Alliance and other animal rescues, we hope to make a difference in the lives of homeless felines. Cat Haven is a 501c3 non-profit organization aimed at rescuing felines in our community and finding them forever homes.
