Crossroads Animal Rescue, CARE, is the non-profit organization of Crossroads Animal Hospital in Seneca, SC. Our goal is to decrease pet euthanasia rates in Oconee County. We rescue dogs, cats and horses. The majority of our adoptable pets are ones who were turned in to the Oconee County Animal Shelter. We also take in stray pets directly from the public when we have space. We make sure all the pets are up to date on medical care, spay and neuter the dogs and cats, and help them find loving homes.

Adoption process

To adopt, email us at crossroadsanimalrescuesc@gmail.com or call us at (864)972-9906 (this is also the office of Crossroads Animal Hospital). We are open from 8-5 most weekdays and 8-Noon Saturdays for you to meet adoptable pets. Many pets are at foster homes, so an appointment will be needed for them to be brought to the clinic. Before you meet one of our adoptable pets, you will fill out an adoption application in order to be approved to adopt. This approval process can often be completed within ten minutes, though there are sometimes further questions that may take up to 48 hours for an adoption approval. Once approved, you simply pay the adoption fee and take your new family member home! If you are not ready to take your new pet home, Crossroads Animal Hospital offers reduced-cost boarding until you can pick him or her up. Please note that although you can fill out and email an adoption application to crossroadsanimalrescuesc@gmail.com to be approved, the pet will not be held for you until we speak to you via phone and obtain payment of the adoption fee. Therefore the best way to adopt immediately is to fill out an application and then call us.
