About

Our mission is to rescue and re-home pitbull type dogs in Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas. As a small rescue, we focus on educating the public on responsible pet ownership, positive force free, science based training, and the importance of spaying and neutering their pets. With love, care, and humane training, we ensure proper placement by making appropriate matches to the right families and remain a lifelong resource for those families. Biggies Bullies is a non-salaried 501(c)(3) non-profit charity registered with the Internal Revenue Service and the Pennsylvania Bureau of Corporations and Charitable Organizations. We are 100% volunteer developed and staffed.

Adoption process

Adoption Process: 1.) ​Submit an adoption application. Applications remain on file for one year and can apply to any pet, so please do not resubmit additional applications. 2.) An Adoption Coordinator will respond to your application within 48-72 hours and let you know next steps! 3.) ​Approved applicants will come to our Headquarters to meet the adoptable dog before bringing along any current dogs in the home. 4.) If all goes well at the meet, we will schedule a 2-week trial period. If you own other dogs, we will schedule a meet and greet for the dogs before scheduling the trial period. Two weeks can make a huge difference in a dog, you will really get to see who they are once they settle in a little more. We want to make sure all of our adoptions are the right fit, for the dog and you! After the two week trial period, we will have you bring your family to our Headquarters for an official adoption photo!
