About

AZ. Shepherd Rescue started rescuing dogs on June, 2014. We are not a shelter and we do not have a kennel facility. All of the dogs in our rescue live in qualified foster homes. Having our dogs in our homes and care helps us spend one-on-one time with them to learn more about them and properly place them with their perfect owners. We focus mainly on saving our dogs from the County e-lists. There are hundreds of dogs killed daily in our county shelters alone. A lot of these dogs are put to death for fear. We understand that the shelters are a very scary place for dogs. Most of them act like different dogs once they are free from the county kennels. All of our dogs are vet checked, up to date on shots, licensed, micro chipped, and neutered/spayed. We only adopt out to residents in Maricopa county at this time until we can get more volunteers to do home checks.

Adoption process

Adopters are required to be 21+ years of age. We will require a signed adoption contract at the time of adoption. Please be sure to fill out all of the questions and information. Not doing so may delay your application.
