The Way Home Rescue Alliance

About

The Way Home Rescue Alliance (TWHRA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit with the common goal of saving animals from high intake, high kill shelters in rural Kentucky that would otherwise be euthanized due to overcrowding . Many of these death row animals are placed in loving foster homes until they are adopted through TWHRA and go to their new forever home. In addition, we also network with regional, northeastern, and even Canadian rescue groups in order to save more animals from the shelter than what we could accommodate through our own adoption program. We also support legislation that improves on Kentucky's animal welfare laws, in addition to being strong advocates of spaying and neutering dogs and cats.
