The Cat’s Meow Shelter is a single person operation working diligently to provide sanctuary and rehabilitation for rescued, homeless cats who, without support, would suffer. It is a no-kill shelter dedicated to finding homes and caring for its residents. The shelter is a 501c3 and has been operating since January 2001.

Adoption process

The process of adoption involves a careful screening of potential new owners. Spay and neuter is mandatory for all Cat’s Meow Shelter guests. All residents are current on shots and those who find homes are micro-chipped. If cats do not find a home the shelter provides a sanctuary for them to live out their lives in peace and security. Many of the residents are “special needs” kitties who suffer from such conditions as kidney disease, cancer, heartworm, mutilation, partially blind, and missing body parts.
