The Buster Foundation

About

The Buster Foundation was founded by a core group of rescue volunteers, veterinarians, and breed supporters in 2003. Our mission is to save, protect, and rehome bully breed and mastiff breed dogs from around South East Michigan. We are a bully and mastiff specific rescue which means we primarily rescue and work with Pitbull type dogs as well as mastiff type dogs. We are a foster based 501c3 rescue.

Adoption process

After we receive your completed application, we will then do the following: 1. Review your application to make sure the information provided is complete and appropriate given the needs of our dogs. 2. Contact your references and your veterinarian. 3. Contact you with any follow-up questions or concerns we may have. 4. Schedule a time for you (and your family members and pets) to meet the dog(s). 5. If the meeting goes well, we will then schedule a home visit with the dog at your house. 6. Before finalizing any adoption, proof of a paid obedience class must be provided.
