The Brittany Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charity dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, care and placement of homeless dogs. We run a no-kill facility. We rescue all dogs, regardless of breed, and we often focus our efforts on the harder-to-place dogs such as seniors, disabled or abused dogs, and "media condemned" breeds such as Pit Bulls, Chow Chows, & Dobies.
1. Select the dog you are interested in. 2. Speak to a volunteer about the process. 3. Fill out our adoption questionnaire. Note: Filling out a questionnaire DOES NOT guarantee an adoption. 4. We review the questionnaire with you and determine if the match is a good one. If so, we set up an appointment for a home visit to confirm that everything is secure and safe for the dog. We also do animal introductions. We then deliver the dog to your home. Dogs are not usually taken from our adoption program without the home check. 5. The adoption process is complete only when a contract is signed and duly executed, the dog is delivered to your home, and the adoption donationis accepted by an authorized agent of The Brittany Foundation. 6. Our adoption donation ranges from $150-$300 for most of our dogs. This adoption donation is tax-deductible and is applied towards the rescue and care of other dogs. It is non-refundable. 7. We offer a lifetime return policy. If you are unable to keep this dog, you MUST return the dog to us.
