Surry Animal Rescue is a NC certified non-profit volunteer organization. We operate solely on donations from adoptions and other resources. We rescue animals from abandonment, abuse, neglect, and euthanasia by providing medical care and foster home placement until loving, permanent homes can be found. Surry Animal Rescue is based in Mount Airy, NC. We were formed in 2001 by our President, Linda Mooney who has done animal rescue work for over 20 years. She is still a staple within the rescue and works every day helping animals in need.
