SSGDR is a 501c3 nonprofit organization incorporated under the laws of the State of Tennessee. SSGDR is owned and operated by a Board of Directors and a dedicated group of volunteers. We are foster home based. Foster homes are located in the Southeastern part of the United States. Our Mission: Dedicated to saving and placing unwanted and neglected Great Danes and Dane mixes in permanent homes. Evaluating both Dane and potential family to ensure a proper placement for a forever outcome. Our Goal: To be the voice for the voiceless; educate on the importance of spay, neuter, shots and preventatives. Encourage people to be advocates and report any potential neglect or abuse.

The following process applies to fosters AND adopters and can take up to 30 days to complete: Application; Phone Interview with board members; Personal Reference Checks; Vet Reference Checks; Home Visit
