Our shelter is home to more than meets the eye. In fact, we have over 100 "guests" on a daily basis! While our main facility mostly houses dogs and cats, we occasionally have rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, and more. There's a whole bevy of loving animals waiting to meet you and their family today! We were lucky to start our organization back in 1951 and we've been able to successfully keep our doors open for well over 60 years now. It's taken a lot of love, hard work and dedication, but the animals make every day a joy for us!

Adoption process

We have an adoption process that involves a short application. We ask you for personal and veterinarian references, as well as a few questions to determine if you own your home or rent. If you rent, we will contact your landlord to affirm that the pet is welcomed. If everything checks out you go home with your new buddy! Our adoption fees partially cover the cost of the care our animals receive while they stay with us. Each dog or cat that is placed in a new home has been spayed or neutered, and has been tested and vaccinated for many common conditions. The adoption fee for dogs is $150 and cats are $100.
