The position of Animal Control Officer provides for the protection of people, animals and property from damage, injury and nuisance caused by dogs. The Animal Control Officer is charged with the enforcement of laws pertaining to the licensing and control of dogs, as well as rabies control involving domestic animals, investigations, legal actions, and impoundments. The Town of Sharon and the Animal Control Officer are responsible for maintaining and improving upon the efficiency and effectiveness of all areas under the direction and control of the Animal Control Officer.
