Rescue A Dog, Inc.

Palm Harbor, FL

About

At Rescue A Dog our main goal is to minimize the number of dogs that are euthanized because of overcrowded shelters. Fostering is the cornerstone of any successful rescue effort and in order to achieve our goal we need foster parents like yourself. For every dog that goes into a foster home it makes room for one more dog to be saved. Fostering is a very rewarding experience knowing that you personally changed the world for that one dog!

Adoption process

Please keep in mind that we often receive many applications for any one single dog and it is not always possible for us to return a personal call to every person that applies for one of our dogs. We go through a process of reviewing each application and once we feel we have found the right applicant, we conduct a background check on anyone we feel would be the right fit for that dog. Once this process is completed we will contact the family to set up a time for a meet and greet with the dog. It's important that all of the members of your family, (including other dogs) meet the new dog so that everyone is onboard and in agreement that this is the right choice for you.
