Quad City Animal Welfare Center has been saving animals one life at a time since 1977. The mission of the QCAWC is to operate a shelter for homeless animals, to offer a spay and neuter program, and provide humane education. We are the only full-service, no-kill shelter serving the Quad-Cities area.

Adoption process

We always have great cats and dogs available for adoption! Sometimes we have kittens, puppies, and small animals as well. The dog adoption fee is $100, with each dog spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and tested for heartworm disease. The adoption fee for puppies (less than 4 months) is $200, with each puppy spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations for their age, and microchipped. The cat adoption fee is $50, with cats spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and tested for FIV/FeLV. The adoption fee for kittens (less than 4 months) is $75, with kittens spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations for their age, microchipped, and tested for FIV/FeLV.
