Founded in 1976, we are a 501(3)(c) non-profit, no-kill organization considered to be one of Ohio’s most reputable long-standing cat and dog humane rescue groups. Our mission is to rescue, foster, and adopt companion animals in Northeastern Ohio.

Adoption process

The process for applying for adoption also includes an adoption application, a personal interview with one of our adoption specialists, and a conversation and meeting with the foster home where the cat or dog is living. The in-depth process is designed to make sure you and the pet you have chosen are right for each other. Everything we do leads to finding our rescues a loving forever home. It is a very important decision for you and your family, and although we can't guarantee you an adoption, we'll do everything we can to find the best match for you. All PAWS animals are spayed/neutered, tested, vaccinated and LOVED prior to adoption.
