At Pound Buddies, our core purpose is to care for homeless dogs and cats and find them new loving families. Our mission is to is to be a guiding force to ensure the well-being of every dog and cat in Muskegon County.

Adoption process

Step 1: Submit your “My Pet Profile”. This is a short questionnaire that will give us a better idea of what you are looking for in a companion pet. Step 2: Come play with the dogs! Once we receive your My Pet Profile, our adoption coordinator will contact you via email within 24-48hr to schedule a private showing for you to come in and start meeting potential adoption candidates. Step 3: Adoption! Once you connect with that special pet, we set your adoption appointment.

The compassion folks at Pound Buddies go the extra mile to adopt out abandoned animals! These volunteers give of their time and resources to rescue and comfort homeless pets. I think many of the cruel & negligent owners should be chucked in the kennels since these poor critters end up there from no fault of their own. I know, I volunteered there for years and gave of my heart in overwhelmingly sad circumstances! Please give Pound Buddies a 2nd chance! Don't let some fuss-butt heartless bastard of a low bidder snag it neglect animals that have already suffered so much already! Volunteer instead of complain! It's better to light one candle than curse the darkness! I pray cold, callous caretakers are barred from putting more traumatized dogs behind bars!
