About

Pet Friends Inc. is a non-profit, all volunteer animal rescue organization whose mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and find permanent homes for lost and unwanted dogs and cats in southwestern Pennsylvania. It is our goal to provide for the medical and physical needs of these animals; to provide educational activities and programs to help end the suffering caused by pet overpopulation; and to offer educational opportunities that will enhance the lives of people and their pets. Our goal is provide medical and physical support to lost and unwanted animals, and enhance the lives and well-being of these animals. We strive to provide educational information to our community and surrounding areas to help end the suffering caused by pet over-population. In doing so we hope to advocate for those who do not have a voice and do right by them to help provide a temporary sanctuary until the right person comes along and gives them a forever home.

Adoption process

Our adoption process includes filling out an application for cat or dog you are interested in. Please allow 3-5 days for a volunteer to review your application. If your application is approved, a meet and greet will be scheduled. For adoptions, an adoption contract will be signed, the adoption donation fee will be paid, and then you can take your new furry friend home! For dog adoptions, a meet and greet will need to be scheduled with your current dog(s).
