Rural Pennsylvania (Pennsyltucky) is world famous for puppy mills and feral cat colonies. A small group of Pennsyltucky natives has decided to try to make Pennsylvania world famous for solving these problems. Pennsyltucky Paws is currently raising money to develop a smartphone application to network volunteers, organizations, and material resources across the state, to conduct environmental impact studies related to feral cat colonies, and to lobby the commonwealth of Pennsylvania to enact legislation to promote and enforce humane animal treatment and responsible pet ownership. We also conduct in Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR) operations where appropriate to mitigate the environmental impact of feral cat colonies, and to aid and educate those who have overwhelmed themselves and their local environment through inappropriate feeding. We are presently too small of a scale to handle the many puppy mills in Pennsyltucky, but we do take in a small number of high-risk dogs, or the odd pregnant female. We also help in re-homing any and all Pennsyltucky critters with scales or feathers. If you or someone you know needs help with a colony of cats, a high risk dog (to include a pregnant one), or a small mammal or exotic pet, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
