About

We’re a small group of “parrot people” in the Twin Cities. Collectively we have extensive experience in nearly every aspect of parrot care. Our mission is to be advocates for parrots living in captivity. We will strive to provide the types of information and resources that your parrot wants you to know about. We hope that you will use our website as a primary reference source for all of your parrot’s needs. We will provide all kinds of basic (and some specialized) knowledge to help your exotic bird to enjoy a happy and healthy life while in your care.

Adoption process

Steps of the Adoption Process: 1. You complete and return the adoption application. 2. A ParrotHelp.com representative will contact you. We simply want to work together to make the best possible long-term matches for each parrot, and talking in advance about your particular situation may greatly help this effort. 3. When a bird that matches your lifestyle and household becomes available, we will contact you to schedule a visit with the bird, or to begin the fostering process. 4. After you complete all the requirements above, the Adoption Coordinator in your area will work with you to find the best match for each bird and each family. Upon occasion, the Adoption Committee is involved in reviewing the movements of our birds across regions. 5. Once we all agree that your family and a particular bird are a good match, we will sign an adoption agreement with you, and this includes the adoption fee.
