The mission of Operation Scarlet, Inc., Chinese Shar-Pei Rescue of Lancaster, PA, is to improve the lives of abandoned, abused, or surrendered Shar-Pei by providing appropriate medical care, rehab those with behavioral issues and place them in carefully consideredloving forever homes. Founded in 1991 in memory of Scarlet, a Shar-Pei in need of a home, Operation Scarlet received its non-profit status in January 1999. Operation Scarlet is a nonprofit 501(c) 3 organization. All donations are tax deductible. To date the organization has rescued 1,305 Shar-Pei.
