Michigan Sheltie Rescue is a non profit, volunteer organization that helps homeless or abandoned Shelties. Each sheltie is treated for any medical problems and then spayed or neutered, brought current on all shots, wormed, treated for fleas and ticks, heartworm tested and started on preventative medication, started on flea prevention medicine, and groomed. All shelties are then screened and adopted into safe, loving homes.
The first step to adoption is filling out a written application. Once we review your application, someone from our group will call you and set up a time that we can come to your home to meet you and your family. Once you have been approved, you may begin meeting our dogs.
Michigan Sheltie Rescue is NOT a good system for Shelties. The director does not communicate and I believe they really are just pretending to care about Shelties. I have owned many Shelties and worked with many reputable breeders.....and this is the last place Shelties should go. Don't donate and do not support.
